HIPPY, Home Instruction for Parents of Pre-School Youngsters, Yellowknife is thrilled to celebrate its 4th HIPPY Graduation this June! Graduation Day is the most awaited event of the year, marking the culmination of a year filled with learning, teaching, and skill-building. This day is dedicated to acknowledging and honouring the hard work and energy families have invested in the program, highlighting how far they have come in their unique journeys. It is a special moment that brings together families and significant people who have supported the program every step of the way.
This year’s graduation is particularly special as two of our HIPPY families officially graduate from the program, having completed the three-year curriculum and all its requirements. We are incredibly proud to see them advance to the next phase of their learning journey. We are confident that our HIPPY children are well-prepared in every area of learning as they enter the big world of kindergarten. This accomplishment embodies the core goal of the HIPPY program, and once again, the HIPPY Program 2024 has achieved it!
In addition to our graduates, six other participants are moving to the next levels of the curriculum, Year 2 and Year 3. Like the graduates, they will also be recognized for their remarkable achievements.
One unique aspect of this year’s celebration is that it will be held indoors. For the past three years, the event has taken place outdoors in the park where we were always blessed with beautiful warm sunshine. However, this summer has been rainy and windy, prompting a change of venue to an indoor setting. Despite the change in location, the spirit of the celebration remains as vibrant and joyous as ever.
